The Boring Process

Initial Consultation

Get in touch with us by phone or email for an initial estimate of price, potential water quality, and quantity available on your property. Our estimates are based on your location, our experience with nearby bores, and our extensive groundwater knowledge in your area.

Site Assessment

For properties in areas with uncertain or variable groundwater conditions, we recommend test drilling to accurately determine water volume and quality. When possible, we’ll conduct a site visit to discuss optimal bore placement and explain the likely yields for your property. Our experienced drillers can provide valuable insights on maximizing your bore water usage.

Important Requirements

  • Property owners must inform us about any underground services or cables
  • A current Works Licence (Bore Construction Licence) from Southern Rural Water is required before drilling begins
  • We can assist with processing this licence for our customers

Completion Process

After completing your bore, we’ll provide detailed information about the water quality and flow rate. Based on these results and your specific needs, we’ll help select and install an appropriate pump, ensuring your bore is ready for immediate use.
